Saturday Sumptin’ X 3

Overall, there is very little in my life I enjoy more than college football.
Jordan Rodgers

It’s that time again. We are back from a bye week along with LSU, so two fresh teams meet and only the coach of LSU ‘Lane Kiffin’ is crying about it. This is an important game in the play-off picture and Lane is whining about the game time. I guess the 3:30 ET kick-off isn’t good enough for him, he wants a prime time night game as his chances increase with the crowd, guess what, boo-hoo-hoo Lane.

We are headed to Baton Rouge for an afternoon revelry that has been seen 90 times.

Series Details

  • First Meeting: November 18, 1895 (LSU won 12–6)
  • Last Meeting: November 8, 2025 (Alabama won 20–9 in Tuscaloosa)
  • Current Streak: Alabama has won 3 consecutive games
  • Record at Alabama: Alabama leads 27–17–2
  • Record at LSU: Alabama leads 30–10–3
  • Largest Margin of Victory: Alabama won 47–3 on November 10, 1922

With both teams coming into todays game at 6-2, I’ll make no predictions for todays match-up but yes, I will be hooping and hollering for BIG AL to pull through. ROLL TIDE BABY!

Here’s a little more Sumptin’ Sumptin’

Nutriment -
ˈn(y)ü‧trəmənt
Noun
Something that nourishes; nutrient.
Latin, 15th century

This weekend is our Colour Challenge, and for October, the colour is Grey/Gray, which we last used here just a year ago.

This weekend your challenge is to write a poem or a piece of prose in exactly 27 words using the word “Abscond”.

On this grey Saturday I hope today’s game will be a nutriment for my soul as Lane Kiffin watches Alabama abscond with the victory. ROLL TIDE ROLL {27 words}

And some lumpy gravy to end this with.

Daily writing prompt
What’s a small moment from your past that you still think about years later?✅

November 5, 2011 found me watching an intense game of field goals with us coming out on the bottom 9-6.
