What is This, That, & the Other ✅

This

I don't feel like writing in here today - Why is That?
I am my own worst critic - Why is That?
I'm letting my coffee get cold while writing this - Why is That?

The coffee gets cold as I try to think and then write
After I erase it nine times it still isn't quite right
After rimming myself because it makes no sense
I cross it out and sometimes just have to reminisce

That

I have no absolute wisdom to offer you on this site. I write for my own sanity, reflecting on things from my past or even my warped imagination. It’s not always funny or informative but it is me in all of my unrefined glory. This is me trying to bring a little peace to the world and maybe, just maybe sort things out in my altered mind.

It has been a quick minute since I gave up those beloved cancer sticks I have enjoyed all my life, starting in 1968. I find that quitting wasn’t as bad as I thought and they now taste like shit and make me nauseous. I have slowed the phlegm down a lot but still get some once in a while. The jones effect is more than haunting, it is damn right miserable and hits on a daily basis but when I get past that life is good again.

The Other

Have you ever had a prolonged argument with yourself ? I have went so far as to giving myself the silent treatment. 😁 This tends to backfire as how can you make your mind silence itself ? the longer I try to keep thoughts out of my head the more determined they are to take centerstage.

This is where I am at today. Football season is half over so snow is on the way. I paid for express shipping on a master cylinder for my truck and got slowed down by USPS which is bitching that they need more money all the time while service falls off. So today I wait on the part that should have been here Friday.

I have paid ‘four’ DSP’s, [3] of which were on a yearly plan. That’s right, throwing good money away on my insecure ability to put my songs out on the air. If I ever do decide that this can be done I will be using ONCE as my distributor as half of what you pay them goes into a fund for artists, the only distributor known for doing this right now.

I feel insecure with my ‘live’ recording of my voice. I talked to my cuz “Dan Jones’ who has been preforming live on stage since he was a teenager. He has given me solid advice many time throughout our lives so why not ? I used a 30 second clip of my voice to generate the voice I use in Suno Pro and it don’t sound too bad but…is it good enough to put out on the airwaves? And this is the more important question to me. I want a album with my songs on it for my collection. Is a generated voice good enough ? Is it even close to what I want? I think it sounds okay but would it be morally right to use it instead of my own voice? F*#kin’ wants and needs.

I don’t have answers for this mixed up mess of questions so another day of a poorly configured post of delusion from a altered mind seeking peace.

Your talent is God’s gift to you. What you do with it is your gift back to God.
