If there is an oak tree sitting beside this learning curve I have crashed into it headlong again.
I have been trying to record these songs and keep finding roadblocks, which is to be expected but damn, I mean come on dawg, get your shit together. Learning to do all this by myself is a very steep curve but I am a stubborn goat where this is concerned. I have tried to get my son to help but we are on different schedules or maybe it just doesn’t mean too much to him so I’m pretty much flying solo. Since Friday I have recorded 48 tracks of the same song. I finally got one that sounded good and sent it over to my DAW.
WTF? This morning I got it all in and hit playback, try again. No matter what I do it is not playing in my DAW. This was at around 7:30 this morning, it is now 12:37 and I have been learning the ‘quit it fool’ method. I finally figured out what was going wrong and through more trial and error have finally got the rhythm down and am ready to record again. One problem still faces me though, I can not focus on my vocals, the input volume of them and the volume the music by myself.
When I look at the RTR VHF meters or the DAW’s meter I move from the mic losing vocals. Stop and start again. Don’t watch the meters and I overpower or underpower the vocals which I can not correct on tape or in the DAW. So today, although not a total waste has been frustrating to say the least.
I have called it a day and came here to do this post while I recharge the brainwaves. I was going to do two posts but decided to combine them into one, which I’ve been known to do quite a bit. {end of rant}

On Riverside Drive in unit A3 there resides a man dawg that is trying to use AI for his pleasure. A pukka idea would be to go back to Acoustica’s University and re-read all the lessons again before recording and trying to make anything resembling music. Even though that is unnecessary it couldn’t hurt, but to unite with my son and combine our two brains together should make all of this click. {end of condensed rant}
