A Dandy Dawg Decision

Is this a ramble? Maybe a rant? Could it might be that I am trying something new?

Or is this just me being me?

Daily writing prompt
Describe an item you are incredibly attached to. What will become of it?

I’m starting out today’s post with questions, questioning myself and my direction in life. In the last couple of years, I have found myself becoming my own worst critic. I have made multiple changes to this site, and every time I think I am happy, I find the Dawghouse under new construction, kinda like Michigan highways. 😁

Is this a bad thing? I ask myself, “Self, are you happy with what you are doing?” This is a double-edged sword to me. Yes, I am happy with what I’ve learned and with the results, but there are always changes on the horizon.

Leaving my books on the back shelf collecting dust is a decision I make without regret. To me, they were a steep learning process that taught me how to format, edit, and proofread, bringing me one step further into the future, to where I am today, making videos and answering prompts.

One of those changes was my introduction of “Dandy Dawg’ the Dawgpound DJ. I rushed into presenting him and saying there would be a weekly post from my YouTube channel. This is not feasible for me as I want the videos and songs to be the best I can do before presenting them to you. With that said, ‘Dandy Dawg will still host my videos, but I cannot promise this as a weekly post. I hope you understand.

And then there were three

Your writing prompt this week is SNOW

It Just Felt Right

The 'Dawghouse' started in the February snow
With no clear idea where this journey would go
It gathered momentum and it just felt right
A reversible inspiration for this evolving site.

As time slips into the future I work out the kinks
Trying to avoid any imaginary, superstitious jinx
Here is the one thing on which you can safely bet
The dawghouse will move forward like a blackbird jet
