This weekend, our challenge is the word ‘Prepare’.

My first day of driving a semi was a parody of my father’s legacy. I thought I could prepare to tackle this opportunity, but soon found that I needed to observe what the owner of the company was trying to teach me. As I tried to control the bob-tail in the rain, I started doing 360’s in an open, empty parking lot. I was slow at learning to copy the technique of a controlled spin, which, later that night, had my boss telling everyone else at the bar a comic tale of intense failure without harm.
