As a teenager I began my cooking adventures making fried eggs. A simple dish to fill my belly when mom wasn’t home. As time continued to move forward I found that I could improve almost everything I tried to make using different spices.

I fell in love with garlic and cayenne pepper, the trick was learning how much to add to each dish. As time marched slowly forward I started amazing friends and family with dishes that not only looked pleasing but was also entertaining to the tastebuds.

I found oregano was good for Italian dishes but not so good in rolling papers. ๐Ÿ˜ Popcorn was improved by topping it with parmesan cheese and fennel was added to my homemade pizzas. Fails occurred quite a bit but through these small mistakes I found heaven in many dishes I had not wanted to eat before.

I was living across a parking lot of an amphitheater in 1975 and decided to sit on a telephone pole they used for the parking lot and enjoy a concert they were having in the park one night and provided treats for the small group of friends I had invited over for the evening when my biggest baking fail happened.

As we sat there enjoying the music while consuming beer and mother nature a policeman walked up behind us without us noticing. He scared the shit out of us when he asked what we were doing out there. We were all baked at the time and I ended up with the jailhouse blues for PI. This was my first time being arrested for being baked in public so to me this would be my most epic baking failure.
