As I sit here on this fall Sunday afternoon
I enjoy the peaceful thread of life's journey
Gazing into the rearview mirror of my life
The Dawghouse has made leaps and bounds

Friends following and helping me to shine
I've came out of the darkness of the hermit
Along this journey milestones forever remain
Markers of growth for an eternity of discussion 

Leaving sounds that touch my heart and soul 
Prompts and poems are a natural thing for me

WP brightening my path what else is there to say

Encouragement by friends to share my words
Mixing up prompts to write something absurd
Poetry sites showing my poems of love and hurt
Alongside you masters of the craft where I flirt

As I hop scotch along these lines of poetic styles
I try to weave words that will leave you a smile
So today I am trying something I have never done
Mixing free verse and limerick together into one
