Good Question

More things to make me go hmmm…

Daily writing prompt
What are you curious about?

When we pray why do we always say ‘in Jesuses name we pray’ at the end of our prayers?

My understanding [which may be wrong] is that we are praying to Jesus for guidance, forgiveness, and anything else that crosses our minds. This leaves me mind boggled, shouldn’t we be saying ‘in your name’ instead?

I understand this is a small detail in life , but it still piques my curiosity. We are not praying to God but to his son right? It is said that there is no way to God his father except through Jesus Christ so to me that means we are praying to our Lord and savior Jesus. If I am praying to Jesus which I do constantly, why say this at the end? I’m confused.

Catholics are told the three are one so God, Jesus and the holy spirit are one and the same? more confusion. So in the early morning coffee inducing silence I read this prompt and go hmmm…

Another thought that crosses my mind in the early darkness of the caffeine river rising is this, the penny. They are talking about removing the penny from circulation, what about the .99 on everything? Does this disappear? Will everything jump in price by a nickel or more? So 19.99 becomes 20.05? We all know that greed will not let it drop to .95 right. And will the price of copper rise or fall? What about all the jobs in the copper mines out west? will this have an effect on the employment factor? another thing making me go hmmm…

Did curiosity really kill the cat? Did satisfaction really bring it back? Am I curious or confused hmmm.
