Seeing as I have very few friends this shouldn’t take long…
I’m picky. I’m also an asshole when it comes to placing complete trust in people like you must do when having a true friend. The older I got the less friends I have and it is not just because they are dying off from old age, but yeah that has played a small part.
Can you keep a secret, so can I. A true friend knows when things are trusted to them that they don’t run and get on the party line, [ok that was for old folk like me] on farcebook and tell the whole world your private confessions.
A true friend shows up when it’s -10 on moving day and sticks it out no matter how damn much the cold bites, not to mention you just rented an apartment three stories up and own a piano.
A true friend is hard to come by, a person who has love in their heart to match the shine of their soul is a rarity in this confused material world we live in.
A true friend accepts you for who you are and doesn’t feel the need to change you so you match what they think you should be in their eyes.
A true friend won’t stab you in the back but rather will shoot it to you face to face.
