Ahead and Behind-The Playground

Ahead of dead-mans curve and behind the eight-ball, I paws a moment to reflect on the playground inside my altered mind.

After a melt down Friday regarding the useless to me, Amazon support, I removed all my accounts and had a bitch & moan session on here. I apologize for that but I was at my wits end with them. Enough on that as I could start down that rabbit hole again like a coon dog on Saturday night.

In the turmoil of building this site and trying to learn the in’s and outs of WordPress, this old dawg thought “Hey, I can learn new tricks too!’ And I did just that, I learned that building a nice site takes time, writing good blogs don’t always come easy, and there is more than one way to skin a cat.

So, as any child knows, if the answer is not clear, turn that magic eight ball over and shake the shit out of it, then ask it what you already know.

So after the bark and growl session I am free of that worry and can get on to the next. I jump off the deep end…again and start to remove my amazon button from the Peaceful Insanity Press page and guess what? I end up changing the whole damn interior of the dawghouse… again. 😮 [I know, no surprise there].🤣🤣🤣

I added the blue boxes announcing the sections which I like a lot, lit up my categories and brought forth the blogs I follow section, rewrote a bunch of page content across the site and changed the name of my book outlet to Peaceful Insanity Store. I changed the outlets of who is selling on my site and have found a couple of sites that yes, are lower priced!!!

I made the decision that these books and designs I have for sale are not my top priority , never was my intention when opening the dawghouse. In saying this I will offer sales on my site through indie shops I can find and one or two big name stores, Barnes & Nobles, Thrift Books, etc…

I also offer an standard 25% discount when purchasing any of my work through IngramSparks and on top of the discount will be having a sale announced this Friday. How long will it be? Can’t say as of now but there will be ‘Whispers in the Wind’.

I love merry-go-rounds, can’t you tell. My site has been on a spinning wheel ride since the beginning and I love it!!!

Evolution can be fun sometimes. As this old dawg ages I find that I need to keep the mind busy and active and in so doing my posts have undergone some transformations. AI was not something I wanted to learn at first but O Dawgy, am I having fun with it now.

I was a “Nervous Nellie ” when I attempted my first NTT entry but soon found a home of delight for weekly fun. I tired a couple of things that I wasn’t happy with but found a groove in Starpup and now the Dailies I have found that encourage creativity.

Learning to change the daily prompt to avoid three day repeats comes in handy and brought another challenge to my altered thought process, combine the daily and weekly prompts into one tale. I think I found a niche’ to happily confuse myself each morning.

I enjoy it so much that I made myself a badge for the accomplishment 😃😃😃.

I know there is a word for this besides being asinine, egotistical, or self-conceited, but believe me this is in no way me begging for belly rubs. It’s just another fun badge for skillful word weavers who meet the challenge. It’s all good in the dawghouse to me though as it beats the hell out of a rant. Enjoy your Sunday evening.
