I wasn’t feeling the prompt today, as I really didn’t want to see what my name’s meaning was. So, in passing, I had nothing to post about today. I am a reflection of silence as I leave the tunes off and sit here quietly reflecting while enjoying my coffee.

Zero degrees this morning with a wind chill of -27 makes it too damn cold to even think about stepping outside. Brrrrrr. Last night was the college National Championship game and congrats are in order to Norte Dame for a great season but like the unmighty ducks this year couldn’t get the job done and the playoffs belonged to that ‘other team’.

As I was sitting here getting ready to watch the game there comes a knockin’ on the door. I wasn’t expecting anyone so when I opened the door and found my oldest son standing there the joy meter went through the roof. He is a big Norte Dame fan and wanted to surprise me by showing up and watching the game with me. An hour and a half drive to spend time with dad on a cold and blistery night. What a lovely surprise!!!

We had an enjoyable night even though Norte Dame couldn’t pull off a win.

Stay warm today my friends as this wicked cold spell crosses the country leaving us all wishing for an early spring.
