A Moonbeam Ride

Questions arise in the middle of the day 
Put to me in a very unique sort of way
The best course of action that I can see
Is to let the ghost writer explain it for me

Late into the night high above the clouds I watch the stars with pride
I travel untold skies without questions just enjoying this moonbeam ride
Above the clouds my magic carpet sails with feelings of joy and peace
As I notice a string of flying reindeer and a jolly man in a red headpiece

A white bearded man singing tales of Christmas as he flies into the night
Bringing presents to children on his long nice list in this once a year flight
Lights twinkle below as the world rests in anticipation of the coming day
Another feast on milk and cookies is all Santa asks for as he makes his way

Giving thanks to our savior for blessing this magic carpet moonbeam ride 
I hum the "Little Drummer Boy" and wave becoming a little teary eyed
As these beautiful moonbeams brighten up this floating ride of fantasy
Ghostwriter closes another tale as I continue soaring in this higher galaxy
