A day of hell was brought forth into the light
Nothing I did yesterday wanted to go right

The soul was tempered and the mind a mess
Insanity reached the limits of a failing test

Try and try again is what I heard when I failed
Peace jumped out the window and then it bailed

Little rays of sunshine tried hard to bring me cheer
Gratitude for that kindness can be found right here

The sun tried to wink at me thru those dark clouds
But the mind was wrapped in confused sad shrouds

With that behind me a new dawn slowly beginning
Early morning thoughts suggesting a big winning

As a warm breeze gently rises from the deep south
I hear a whisper of Ernie please hush your mouth

Listen to your heart and you will finally understand
There can be real happiness in your life once again

Things will be better than yesterday this seems to be
The taste of warm love as the breeze envelopes me

Raging flames of passion a gift for this simple man
Flowing through the jet stream to find new love again

Peaceful insanity anxiously got quiet as I left it alone
Quietly awaiting to be welcomed back into my home

Early morning thoughts filling my heart with self-love 
Red horizons in my eyes giving those blues a shove.
