Morning Dew

As I sit here with you on my mind watching the morning dew

I gaze into the glass of time and how it was spent with you

Like a twinkling star shining in the cloudless night sky

You are the light that guides my way through a maze of who’s and why’s

Our love stood timeless and the joy forged new roads to test our faith

And you carried me through some tough times with your amazing grace

The nights you held me, when screaming I awoke from those vivid dreams

Or the many times I washed your feet in the sparkling mountain stream

No boundaries or barriers could stand in our strong loves way

The morning dew is starting to fade and will soon burn away

So thoughts like these of times gone into the past will have to wait

I need to go inside, I want to make your breakfast before you awake
