On Strike or Brain Fart

Confused Am I

The last couple of days my mind has been in a funk, unable to create the usual confusing thoughts that bounce around the altered mind of fun I call home.

A migraine has haunted me for two days and that doesn’t help the thought process at all. I usually don’t get headaches but when they do show up, they kick my ass.

And then there is my book. I have been putting way to much time in it trying to please myself with the outcome and need to just step back from it for a hot minute. Can you say OCD?

Which brings me to the reviews needing to be done on a few books I bought and read. Time to get busy? Who knows, I thought I was staying busy but again, when the funk starts playing out the thinking process takes a hit…and when was cold turkey ever fun?

So as I wait on this funk to clear and a somewhat unnormal routine to emerge and bring me back to the altered “Peace of Insanity” (found another use for it Laura) I will stay focused on everything except coffee of course.

  2. Oh no – not a migraine?!?!?

As someone who gets them a lot – there is seriously nothing worse.

Here’s hoping when you read this, you can read this… and the pain has subsided!

Take care taking care, and may the brain fog be gone!

    1. Thank you so much Linda, it left, thank God. I only get them maybe twice a year but they knock me down when they come on.

      1. That was me when I was younger (a 3 day nightmare a couple of times a year) – since I turned 50 they seem to hang around, as low-level pain but more persistent… rotten old things… I still can’t believe we can put a man on the moon but we can’t cure a migraine! Take care, L xx

Dag, I totally feel you on those migraines—ugh!! 😣 Hope you’re feeling better by now. You really need to take it easy, brother. Let the book take its course. 📚 I was in the same boat this past Sunday, trying to figure out which of the two books to tackle first. Still need to edit, format, and create covers for both, and I was getting so stressed out. 😅 One day at a time. Let God direct the path… Easier said than done, especially for us anxious folks. 🙏

By the way … Did you get my email?

    God Bless You Brother…

  5. Ohhh noooo, I hate migraines! They are terrible. ☹️ I hope you feel much better soon. I know when I’m a perfectionist on certain things is best to take a step back for a few days, nothing looks right. Keep your “peace of insanity” and your wits about you and I’m sure all will turn out just fine. 😊

  6. Hope you’re feeling better soon! Migraines are the worst, and adding OCD tendencies to the mix can be really tough. Don’t be too hard on yourself about your book – sometimes stepping back is exactly what you need.
