If you could bring back one dinosaur, which one would it be?

Where to From Here?

The daily prompt did nothing for me today, the only Dino’ I could think of was the one for Sinclair gas from when I was a child. But with gas jumping .40 cents in the last two days sharing him just didn’t feel right.

So, with coffee cup in hand I start my morning journey in the most righteous way I can imagine, walking over to the refill counter in my kitchen.

With unlimited hot coffee and a cool mix of jazz and blues I enter into another Saturday morning of peaceful insanity.

Peaceful Insanity

Upon waking I gave thanx and grace to the man upstairs
Fill a cup and then at this screen I sit and stare
Another prompt I feel I don’t want to answer on this day
But some smooth listening blues point me straight that way

In the breaking of another hot sun warming my soul
I reflect on the moments of where this post will go
Into a world that is quiet except for a bird’s song
I sip my coffee and reflect on how to get along

The insane battle of the week is over with one thing left to do
File a report of the outcome and send it over to Gorilla HQ
The paperwork is all in order as I take that final look
I wish it was this easy when I’m trying to write my book

The WordPress wire sends these words to you lickety split
Leaving me the time to reflect on where the dinosaurs went
From rulers of the land they feel into despair and went extinct
To be replaced by humans who capture words with pen and ink

The sad truth is that killing was a normal thing for these beasts
Evolution has changed but left this instinct for us to greet
And to kill someone’s soul can be a very easy thing to do
If I was a T-Rex I would do this without hesitation to you

But a T-Rex I’m not so you are safe from mental harm this fine day
No reason to think I would hurt you from the way that I now play
Brachiosaurus is the name of the dinosaur I would bring back
Preferring ‘high’ vegetation is a trait we all must respect
