The Heat is On
It’s on the street, yeah the heat is on….
Here in Michigan we are under a dreaded heat advisory which means I might finally have to turn on the AC. I have been able to enjoy the air wisping in the open windows which is a great time of year for me. Alas it must come to the end like that first cup of mud. I thought that the video from Glen Frey might go good with this post but X’ed that plan.
We had a heat storm late last night and listening to the rolling thunder and driving rain I ended up sleeping like a baby. See another video opportunity passed by. No AC DC for you! My soup kitchen, my rules.
So What Now?
The second cup is lubricating the gears of this antique altered mind which by the way should be highlighted on PBSs’ “Antique Roadshow” where after careful consideration they might find it is priceless or find it at the other end of the spectrum and send it packing without mention.
And as smoke bellows from the exhaust ports and the ol’ engine finally starts to warm up I place it in neutral, step on the emergency brake and let me idle for a bit.
Changing Gears
Without the stereo on this morning I find that this could easily be a “Dawg Whistle” post for tomorrow filled with music videos. Songs are nothing more than poetry put to notes that flow together and transform words of hope, love, lust or sorrow into magic for our ears right? If that is not the case I took a wrong turn somewhere along this unplanned road trip.

It doesn't matter as long as we go

Trading words with each other is just what we got

Unplug
In this day and age they tell us to conserve electricity by not running our ACs during “peak hours”, what in the hell are they thinking? Run your AC when it’s cool but shut it off when it heats up or we will rape your bank account with premium costs! Wait for it…
Let’s get rid of gasoline engines and force the masses to use electric vehicles. Great thinking by our finest fools.
