I Missed My Exit

Yesterday I was supposed to do a post for a new series I started last week but was pedaling so fast into the dawn I completely forgot to turn onto that ramp and passed it right by. Since that day is now gone and can’t be gotten back to I guess it is on to the next.

Holiday Hopefulness

A strong wish to all the dad’s waking up to receive recognition and neck ties this morning “I wish that you all have a funtastic day with your children.”

My father has been gone many many moons now but thoughts still prevail of him on this day. The necktie reference was thrown in as it was the norm for dad’s to receive a tie for their gift on this fine holiday when I was growing up, don’t know if that still applies as times have so drastically changed. And truthfully I never understood getting dad a tie {or 2 as I had a brother three years my senior} every year as I can’t recall him ever wearing one outside of funerals.

I do know that out of three sons I will get nary 1 tie for Father Day as they are all in their thirties and have never saw the need to get me one, don’t wear them. However, a vinyl or two is not out of the question “hint hint boys!”

Dirty Fuel Filter?

Like the older model that I am every now and then I run sluggish like my fuel filter is clogged and not allowing my engine to run on all cylinders. I know it is not the fuel I add to the tank on a daily basis as I only run on premium Starbucks high octane. So maybe I need to look into backing this older model into the garage {bed} and letting her rest for a minute.

This week has found it in the shop for repairs and even though all the work was professionally done by a top notch mechanic {doctor} today stills finds it running sluggish. Maybe might be that I just need to hit the highway and blow it out! But of course the mechanic told me not to open it up for at least six weeks.

What It Is

A friend asked me yesterday what normal is and after debating myself I have come up with a response to that question. Willie, I could only come up with this. Norml is a fantastic organization that fights for the rights of Americans to enjoy the benefits of marijuana by striving to repel outdated laws and inform the people of it’s value…or maybe normal is the illusion of the vast majority of our population that whatever we are told to do and be is the only way to adapt in a failing system of false belief. The sure fire bottom line is this…What should be normal is the giving of thanks to our maker.
