Am I being cyincal?
This should be switched around but unfortunately WP has blocked me from changing the daily now. So my response is simply this.
When I was a younger man I loved helping people even if I couldn’t afford to do so. I wanted and still do want people to be happy and not go without. This has surely prevented me from being monetarily rich but my heart account is busting at the seams. Okay the heart has been overdrawn many times but that is another post.
What brought me to this post is a bad feeling I got today when answering a comment on yesterdays post. After replying I went onto doing my vocal training and practicing a song for my album. The reply kept sitting front and center in my thoughts. I had to spell it out here to get it off my mind.
http://adrianodasilver0-dwxun.wordpress.com/ sent me the following message, Hello i am really in a bad situation i need your help and prayers please followed by a bunch of sad emojis. it tugged on my heart strings like a baby kitten in a rainstorm so I clicked on their profile and was taken to a blank site that was “Coming Soon”. I couldn’t find any posts in reader nor on the non-existent site. My reply was simple; Don’t think so as you don’t have any posts and are not subscribed here.
Why did that eat at me all morning? I have helped people on here before that needed it and yes it makes me feel good to do so if I can. But this? Was it me being cynical thinking they are scammers? Do they just troll sites and post comments like this? And why does WordPress let anyone open an account without at least making a home page or About me Page?
I sincerely hope this was a scammer and is unsuccessful getting anyone to fall for it instead of someone desperately needing help. I have sent prayers but to what avail. So in the end I guess I used to love helping people but now it is more of ‘Are you scamming me?” I guess the prayers I send out should be for me instead.
