Absolutely nothing or maybe not.
As I keep reading this prompt I see two distinctive questions. There are people I admire and respect but wouldn’t seek advice from. Then there is a rock solid adviser that always has the right solution.
Family and friends giving advice is comforting as it shows the love and compassion they have for you but to me it is bias. The advice stems from their personal relationship with you and answers sometimes are directing you in what they think is best for you based on what they think you should do or be.
I have asked complete strangers for advice and they look at me as if I was crazy until I explain the situation. Most of the time they will give you an honest opinion on their beliefs without judgement as they are basing the answer on their experiences and not knowing you can offer a more open approach to the solution.
Then there is the people I admire. Most of them I have never met but their actions bring a level of respect earned on that basis alone.
After reading this it looks like nonsense but is it? The one true source of advice or guidance I always trust and try to follow is that of our lord. He usually offers a gentle shift in my thought process offering solutions to my problems and once in a while he has to make it hurt a little to help me understand but I have never received bad advice from him.
Enjoy the beginning of another beautiful week in the life of you!
