Sunday Morning Reflections finds me searching…

I thought about doing prompts today but once in here I think not. I am going to get into my thoughts on a more personal level today, or maybe not. I guess we will find out what crosses the altered mind as we go today.

We are having a heat wave today, it is 13 degrees out, WHOO HOO! As I sit here writing this I have another tab going and am listening to the Dawghouse Dial. I am pretty satisfied with how that page came together and with the albums on the dial. Each one offers a playlist that runs through so I can click on it and go about my other business while checking out the songs from my poetry books.

Burn out. I’m not talking about burning your Goodyears or Bridgestone’s up but rather trying to avoid the mental burnout. Stepping back is important when you feel overwhelmed and reflection is always good for the soul.

With that said I am leaving you with Dandy Dawg’s new drop hoping you don’t think it is a pile of Dawgy Do Do. Let me know will ya.

Fast Lane Blues

This can be found in Silent Screams, my second book of poetry. It was written back in the 1980s based on a night of heavy drinking and the intense argument I watched in a dive in New Jersey. I went out to my semi and scratched this down. When I choose these poems to produce into songs some lyrics are changed, replaced or added to as to make it complete. This track can be found in the ‘Accelerated Asphalt’ album on the Dawghouse Dial 103.3.8 DM Thanx for giving it a listen and please leave your thoughts on it.
