5;05 in the A.M. and I’m just getting this post started. A long day but worth it. Have a good night.
I guess the answer would be changing my homepage. I’ve been brainstorming and brainfarting most of the day. After the excitement of seeing Alabama get into the playoffs I wrote a poem and then started messing around with this site, again. 😜I have changed the home [landing] page of my site. I added some drop down blocks for my poem/music [still haven’t figured out what exactly to call them].
Since I’ve gotten such great responses I thought I might make it easier to find them, I’m still learning how to put the icing on the cake but it is looking good and acting right for me. No comments or likes on that part yet as I just ran out of steam. Here’s the poem, please check out my new section, thanx.
Sittin’ in the Mitten
The blues have come around, knocking on my door
Sounding kinda haunting with its freezing icy roar
Temps get up to twenty, another Arctic blast sweeps in
It's the time of the year for hell to freeze over again.
I'm sitting here in the mitten, it's freezing outside
I'm dreaming of a destination...south of that Dixie Line
Spring's on the horizon, as December comes gusting in
I'm dreaming of warmer days, when I'll be on the road again
Hell is between here and Detroit, a gateway to nowhere
In the blink of an eye, you can find yourself standing there
There's ice on the highway, and everything is nothing but snow
The lake effects seem to march straight thru here,
and it's moving slow...
