Lost & Found

I wrote this on March 26 2025 and found it while cleaning my draft pile out. After reading it I noticed it was written on a Thursday so thought I would put it out todaty.

This poll is closed as the header has changed

My wishes were/are to make this site streamlined. I still have a bunch to change but slow is sure right? Some of the changes are made and corrected quickly while others last a day or two before my eye catches the flavor of change straight away.

And now with me learning a whole new process to add dessert to the AI images I worry if I won’t go to far and screw everything up, not the first time as this site has turned more pages than someone reading Poe.

It’s all been fun though. Okay not all of it. There were times I dawg cussed WordPress for days on end or I find something new to enhance my site but don’t understand how to operate it. Case in point, I have tried multiple times to add a recording to my post and read a poem. I see others doing it with no worries but me, I end up with about 10 seconds and phttt.

HA, teach this ol’ dawg a new trick, not today.

I say shit on that, Instead I’ll stay on track with the challenges I’m trying and let’s face it, I got all the time I need to waste in Canva trying new things.

I saw an add for an intern on LinkedIn the other day but wasn’t ready to accept the internship for two years w/o pay. I noticed it filled quickly so I am wondering if I will need to give up that much of my time or continue going down the path I’m on and teaching myself. I feel that I got this and I’m not sure this is going to be a money making gig or not at this point.

My mind isn’t totally wasted this morning though. I just am not in the mood to do the important stuff. I could tie this in to the daily prompt as working on this site could be compared with designing tattoos. I know because I inked for some years until I started losing my close-up vision. [far sighted?].

In this frame of mind I will state that my header could be my new tattoo and my site is the canvas, make sense to you? Oh well, I stand by the altered thought process found in the dawghouse.

One prompt done. It’s Thursday so by now I’m usually at the gorilla mart looking at prints to copy and write about. There flash sale in aisle three always gets my writing juices flowing. I believe Esther will tease me today as well, along with a few others.

“Tattoo” by Van Halen

This bass-heavy tune was Van Halen’s last Billboard Hot 100 hit before acclaimed guitarist Eddie Van Halen died in 2020. The 2012 rock track is a tribute to “poetry in ink” as a form of individual expression. The narrator particularly values brightly colored tattoos and dons a number of them himself, including Elvis on his elbow and hula girls on the back of his leg. Additionally, he sends out love to ladies with tramp stamps. [courtesy of HubPages].
