I went to high school between 1973-1975. In those years this country was a turmoil of violence, peace, protests and gas shortages. It also offered the best music I’ve heard in my lifetime. Have I got all of this wrong?
My dad died in my sophomore year of high school and I learned that I had a full ride through college paid for under his military service. If I followed through it mattered not what the subject would be, it would be a free ride.
I also learned something else in high school… I love Quaaludes!!!
So, instead of graduating and joining the mainstream of society I did what any puppy would do when his master wasn’t looking, I jumped the fence and ran.
For the final exam, I am pretty sure this should summarize my journey of learning through high school.
And there you have it, my little bit of knowledge from younger daze…day’s.
