Later in life known as Bear for his houndstooth hat and mighty game plan

57' had rock & roll in our ears and a four seasons loss in the Alabama books
Next year came around and from A&M the Bear brought a brand new look 
Four seasons later Bear Bryant brought the sixth championship home
Bet your sweet ass after that day Alabama's name was nationally known

Twenty four years he reigned as the top of the elite or cream of the crop
All the other coaches loved his style and placed him all alone at the top
Fired in Phoenix Gene Stallings decided to come to the Tuscaloosa town
In his second year the SEC loss to the Florida gators left us feeling down

The very next year coach had turned this sad loss completely around
Undefeated in the regular season it was Florida's turn to go down 
On to the championship game the Tide rolled on for another win
A 13-0 season record took the sail out of the Miami Hurricane's wind

The ninety three season found disgrace in the NCAA eyes of fair play
A player signed with an agent resulting in them taking our wins away
Probation from 02' through 06' left a sad tale form coach Franchione
He left via video teleconference and was very selfish and kinda phony

Mike Shula was brought in to see what he do with the crimson team
Leaving the quarterback coaching of Dolphins was our nightmare dream
Four straight looses in the Iron Bowl to that damn cow town Auburn
His coaching career left me sour tasting with a bad case of heartburn

The goat came to us from the same pro team of that Miami dolphin town
