How do I show you that I care
Let me take the time right now
To be your tender teddy bear

That’s what she was reading with a single tear . The rose petals placed to leave a trail from the glass of wine outside to a lush garden grown with love over time.

Why now? she thought as she picked the wine up and sipped at it before slowly following the petals outside. The love had died months ago and now that she finally had to courage to face that and move on he pulls this. The false words had been coming for awhile with empty I love you’s and I don’t know when I’ll get home becoming frequent answers.

At the little garden table for two there sat the opened bottle of wine and another card. As she filled her glass she sat down and here’s what she read.

My dearest wife I need you to see this love from my view and understand
When I met you the stars melted from the sky, I knew I was your man
I couldn't concentrate on anymore than writing love poems in your name
When I wasn't around you, society thought I had gone completely insane
Hand in hand we would walk, spending time exploring each others minds
Amazed as our hearts grew fonder and how our interests combined
My love for you still runs river deep and courses through my veins 
But the mundane every day routines have made our love change
I know I have been lacking to show you the tender things you deserve
I knew that you had an affair and after that I put my love on reserve
But the love remains and will battle through the scars left on this heart
So what's say we put our feelings in check and give this love a fresh start
