“Don’t be a perv…”
Learning the technology of owning a blog has more depth involved than merely giving you 100 words of my “thoughts”. I decided to get some more education on this matter as I want to bring a more completed experience to my followers.

Numbers Drive the Site
Confusion of Comments
What am I looking for with this Site? I would like to see more comments and interaction first off and so this is what I’m learning. To generate more conversation my posts should be short and full of questions.
Content length tip: Want more comments on your blog? Try writing short-form, discussion-based content no longer than 275 words long. but remember this – short posts rarely get shared widely on social media sites like X and Facebook. They also have a tough time ranking on search engines and are bad for SEO. So if you’re trying to build an audience, I wouldn’t recommend focusing solely on short posts.
Social Sharing and SEO’s
What makes a person want to share my posts to Social Media?
- The Topic- Has to grab their attention from the start
- The size of my audience or followers
- The Quality of content I present
Content length tip: Want more shares on social media? Aim for medium length blog posts between 600 to 1500 words. This range is also optimal for SEO’s and discussion {comments?}
Google’s Freeway
What is the optimal blog post length for getting search traffic from Google and other search engines? Have a guess? {Leave it here for all to see!} Search engines love long-form, authoritative, in-depth guides, Longer posts might not get a lot of comments, and they might even be shared slightly less than average on social media, but if you can wait until Google takes notice, you might just get lucky and see a huge bump in organic search traffic.
Finals Exam
Micro content: 75-300 words – best for generating discussion.
Short Form content: 300-600 words – recommended by many “expert” bloggers.
News Article length content: 750 words – the standard length for professional journalism
Mid-form content: 1000-1500 words – Fewer comments equals out as you get more shares
Long-form Content: 2,450 words and longer – Ain’t happening here!
Bottom Line
“This post hit 360 words before this paragraph so I am fitting in the “Short Form Content” that most “Expert” bloggers recommend for comments instead of shares. In the end I guess I am on the right path for a start-up blogger such as myself to find advice or interaction. If not, then I will continue to write as I see fit and to express my emotions/feelings/opinions and ask for your advice.
